My Early Experience
When I got the invite to join Nakupenda’s early test run, I felt a mix of excitement and curiosity.
A new social media platform? A fresh start? A chance to be part of something before the rest of the world even knows about it?
Of course, I said yes.
Logging into Nakupenda for the first time felt different.
There weren’t millions of users yet. No overwhelming noise. Just a small, growing group of people excited to build something new — something better.
At this stage, every post, every comment, and every connection feels personal.
We’re not just users — we’re pioneers.
We’re helping shape what Nakupenda will become.
It’s been amazing to watch the first sparks of community take shape. People supporting each other. Creators showing up authentically. Conversations that aren’t just about going viral — but about being real.
Of course, things aren’t perfect yet — it’s a brand new platform after all.
But that’s part of the magic: we’re growing with Nakupenda, not just watching from the sidelines.
Being an early tester reminds me why I fell in love with social media in the first place: connection, creativity, and community — before the noise and algorithms take over.
If this is just the beginning, I can’t wait to see where Nakupenda goes next.
And I’m proud to say: I was here from the start.

Some time ago, I accompanied a friend to a conference at a hotel, where he was scheduled to meet someone. While waiting for him in the lobby area just outside one of the conference halls, I sat quietly, scrolling through my phone and minding my business.

After a while, I noticed people going in and out of the hall beside me. Curiosity made me look up. A PhD defense was ongoing, I wasn’t really paying attention until I heard gentle clapping from inside the hall.

Then came the turn of a middle-aged man, probably in his late 50s. He stood at the front with a soft, shaky demeanor. He spoke slowly, carefully picking his words. Every few sentences, he paused.. not for effect, but because he stuttered. Still, each time he managed to get through a point, the audience clapped.. not out of pity, but in admiration and respect.

Toward the end, his voice broke. He asked everyone to kindly rise for a minute silence in honor of his wife, who had recently passed away. And in that moment of silence, he broke down in tears.

What I learned afterward left me speechless.

The man had only a diploma in Business Administration when he got married. His wife, a successful banker, pushed him to go back to school. She supported him through a BSc, then a master’s, and finally the PhD program he was now completing.

But just months before he would earn the title “Doctor,” his wife lost her life to breast ******.

He was shattered. She had been his strength, his motivation, and his helper. She had even taken time off her busy banking schedule to help him share questionnaires during his research. Though she herself had only a master’s degree, she pushed her husband beyond that point, right up to the very top.

Now here he was, defending his thesis without her beside him.

That’s when I truly understood the kind of love that doesn’t compete, the kind of spouse who gives you wings to fly without fear of your success.

Not everyone is lucky to have such a partner, one who celebrates your growth, fights for your dream like it’s theirs, and stands by you even when life tries to break you.

2010 - 41% scored 200 and above..

2015 - 30% scored 200 and above...

2019 -. 24% scored 200 and above...

2023 - 23% scored 200 and above...

2025 - 22% scored 200 and above...

by 2035 if nothing is done to arrest this worrying decline, This yahoo and jenzzy generation will call for the ending of JAMB...

By 2050, university entry criteria will just be anyone who can spell his father's name...

most of this kids who fail JAMB and still get higher institution admission behave like kids who didn't attend primary school..

Education standard in NGR is in a state of coma ...
if nothing is done urgent.... it would be permanently buried....

You had one job: TO BUILD MINDS. Instead, YOU BUILT LIARS.

Your students can’t write a sentence, but they know how to bypass integrity.
SHAME ON YOU.

You mocked the “bookworms,” then prayed for miracles.

You can afford to buy data, and get iPhones, but CAN'T BUY TEXTBOOKS OR SERIOUSNESS.

You gambled with your future. WAKE UP.

You UNDERFUNDED SCHOOLS UNTIL ROOFS CAVED IN.

You let UNQUALIFIED TEACHERS flood classrooms.

You ignored “MIRACLE CENTRES” because palms were greased.

Where are the POLICIES? THE OVERSIGHT? THE URGENCY?

You talk about “tomorrow’s leaders” while STRANGLING THE SCHOOLS meant to shape them.

It is nearly impossible for anyone who scored B’s & A’s in their WAEC WITHOUT MALPRACTICE to score below 200 in JAMB.
