    THE REGRETS OF MY EX-WIFE
    Chapter 3
Sean looked nonchalantly at the grand entourage before him. He didn’t seem to surprised. “Good day, Mr. Lakeworth!” the men said in unison. Sean hummed in acknowledgment whole nodding. Then, he got into the car. At the same time, he answered the phone. “Sire!” A man’s respectful voice rang out on the line.
“Diego,” sean said. “Welcome back, sire! While you’ve been away, I’ve been managing the 105 companies under your name as well as your assets worth 500 billion dollars. Now that you’re back, I’ll have everything handed over to you within a day,” Diego ***** said.
“There’s no rush. You know how lazy I’ve gotten over the past five years.” “it’s all because of that woman. She’s been holding you back.” Diego’s tone turned grim. “should I make her company go bankrupt, sire?” Sean had instructed him to secretly watch over tina for the past five years. If not for that, her company never would’ve gotten to where it was today. And she never would’ve become one of the skye city’s top ten outstanding entreprenuers! She was an ingrate!
“forget it. Just leave her be,” Sean said coolly. After all, he and tina used to be husband and wife. He didn’t want to drive her to a dead end. Besides, he no longer felt anything for her. From this day onward, they walk their own paths. “Understood.” Diego asked, “Are you planning on staying in skye city, sire?”
“yeah. I haven’t decided where I’m gonna go yet , so I’ll stay here for now.” “I’ll hand you the reins for the five companies you have in skye city then.” “Oh you…” Sean shook his head with a smile. “Alright, then. Hand them to me.” “Yes sire. You have five companies in skye city, including a hotel. Among them, Ellipse corporation has the highest net worth of 30 billion dollars. It’s also the mightiest company in skye city: its net worth is double that of the company second to it.”

    THE REGRETS OF MY EX-WIFE
    Chapter 1
“Divorced?” Sean’s mind buzzed. He stumbled. All he wanted was for Tina to give him an explanation, to tell him that this was a misunderstanding… even if it was just a lie. Yet all he had gotten was a demand to divorce.
“Yes, s divorce. Here are the papers. Sing them.” Tina pulled out a divorce agreement from her expensive Hermes bag and slapped it onto the table.
Sean’s eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the divorce agreement- it has obviously been prepared beforehand. Then, he looked up at Tina. “How long have been thinking of divorcing me?”
“You forced me into doing this. I hate it when people stalk me.” Tina’s tone was icy.
“So, this is all my fault?”
“Don’t look at me like that, Sean. You’ve been leeching off me for the past five years. It’s none of your business who I want to be with.”
“None of my business? You’re my wife, Tina! My lawfully-wedded wife…” Sean wanted to bellow? at her, but he looked down at the divorce agreement again. He clenched his fists so tightly that his nails were digging into the palms of his hands.
“So what?” Tina looked uncaring. “If you can’t live with it, let’s just get divorced. Let me make myself clear, though-you’re the one who can’t stand my actions, so you’re gonna leave this marriage without a penny to your name.”
Sean’s eyes widened even more. He stared at Tina incredulously. Before today, he never would’ve imagined she could say such words. Was she still the kind woman-no, girl-he’d met 15 years ago? The one who’d given him slice of bread when he’d been on the brink of despair and told him to not give up?
“Look, stop wasting my time. Just sign the papers.” Sean was pulled out of his reverie by Tina’s frosty tone. He returned his senses and gazed at her. She was such a heartless, selfish woman. He knew people would change as time passed-Tina’s appearance had changed, but would her personality change so thoroughly as well?
Sean could no longer see the guileless light in Tina’s eyes nor the kindness she’d displayed all those years ago. His gaze became disappointed. “You’ve changed so much, Tina. Sometimes, I even wonder if you’re really the little girl from my memories.”
“What the hell are you talking about? If you’re just trying to delay the inevitable, I’d advise you to cut the crab, “Tina snapped. What “girl” was he referring to? She’d never even met him before their marriage. Sean didn’t answer her, instead he made a final confirmation. “Do you really want a divorce?” “Absolutely,” Tina said resolutely.
“Okay” Sean took a deep breath and shifted his gaze. This took Tina aback, for a split second she thought Sean had completely in to a completely different person. But when she returned to her senses she knew. He was still the useless man who tottered around the house in an apron. Her cold tone on a hint of condescendence as she looked at him “Actually you should have long since realized that we’re from different world.”
“Yeah you are right.” This time, Sean didn’t refute her. “you’re a high and CEO now and one of Skye city’s top ten outstanding entrepreneurs. On the other hand, I am nothing but a useless man who only knows how to cook and clean. At least, that’s what you think.” Tina was surprised by this. She hadn’t expected Sean to have such a clear grasp on the situation. She smiled haughtily. “it looks like you’ve finally seen the light; you know how worthless you are. You’re not worthy of me, you know.”

  • Title: Adira and Zayd: The Flame and the Echo

Adira had always known the forest, its whispers, and its balance. Since childhood, the trees and winds had guided her, giving her a purpose she had never questioned. She had been the Keeper of Echoes for years now, protecting the realm from the unseen chaos that sought to break its harmony. But despite the wisdom the forest had bestowed upon her, a nagging sense of something missing lingered in her heart.

She had always wondered about her past—about her family. The village had raised her, and the elders had never spoken much of her lineage. The only thing she knew for sure was that she was bound to the forest, born during the rare lunar eclipse. But the stories she had heard spoke of one other child, one born under the same eclipse, whose fate was unknown.

Zayd, on the other hand, had lived a life of freedom, roaming the lands without purpose or direction. He was a wanderer, a seeker of truths that didn’t exist in maps or legends. His only companions were the whispers in the wind and the journal he kept, filled with the fragments of forgotten places and ancient memories. Zayd’s life was unmarked by magic—at least, until the day he found the Ember Gate in the Ashen Wastes.

The gate was an anomaly in the desert, a towering archway made of blackened stone, pulsing with hidden energy. Zayd had felt it before he saw it, an invisible pull that seemed to draw him closer. When his hand brushed the surface, the gate had activated, filling his vision with a city made of fire, its towers flickering like coals beneath a twilight sky. Then, the voice had come—old, aching, and full of fire.

"You are the Flamebearer. Will you remember us?"

Zayd didn't understand what it meant, but he felt a strange stirring within himself, like an ember reigniting after years of cold.

It was then that the mark appeared—like a faint outline of a burning sun on his right hand. And in that moment, Zayd knew that his wandering had led him here for a reason. He wasn’t just a traveler. He was bound to something greater, something ancient.

Back in the forest, Adira felt it too. The winds had changed, the trees had murmured a different name. It was a name she had never heard but felt in her bones: Zayd. Her heart ached as though she were being pulled in two directions at once.

The forest had always been her guide, but now it seemed to be telling her something more. She had been born for the balance between worlds, but now, the forest whispered of another—someone who shared her blood, someone who was her counterpart.

Adira stood at the edge of the forest, feeling the pull of destiny. The balance between realms was shifting, and she could feel a new presence on the horizon—someone who, like her, was touched by magic.

    ---

    Their Meeting:

Zayd’s journey brought him to the outskirts of the village. The wind carried with it a familiar scent, something that reminded him of the fire that had burned within him since the day of the Ember Gate. As he walked toward the forest, the trees seemed to part for him, guiding him deeper into their embrace.

And then he saw her—Adira, standing like a figure made of the forest itself. Her hair, wild and dark as the roots of the trees, moved with the wind as if it were alive. Her eyes, though filled with a deep wisdom, held something else—a recognition, a knowing.

    "You..." Zayd whispered, stepping forward.

Adira’s heart skipped a beat. She had never seen him before, yet she knew him. The forest had told her of him. He was her brother, her younger brother , born under the same eclipse. The Flamebearer. The one who would help restore balance.

"You’re not a dream," she said softly. "You’re real."

Zayd smiled faintly. "I was wondering when we’d meet."

The world around them seemed to hold its breath as if the very earth had been waiting for this moment. Adira stepped closer, her hand instinctively reaching out, and Zayd did the same. The moment their hands touched, the air hummed with energy, like two forces coming together to complete something long lost.

"Fate brought us together," Adira said, her voice steady with newfound certainty. "We are the balance—fire and earth, flame and echo."

Zayd nodded, his hand still resting in hers. "The Ember Gate opened for me. It told me I was the Flamebearer. But you... you were the one it called to, weren’t you?"

Adira nodded. "The forest has always called me. But now, it calls to us both."

Together, they were more than they could ever be alone. The balance was shifting, and with it, the fate of the world rested on their shoulders. They were siblings born of fire and forest, and together, they would protect both.
