#waskydone #TeamB An 18 year old boy stole a phone from a neighbor that was valued at #50,000 the boy was arrested by the police & his parents were asked to pay #250,000 to free him, the parents struggled & managed to raise the money for the police so as to bail out the boy, as they were driving home, the parents pleaded with their son, "never should you repeat this kind of nonsense young man, don't you see how much your bad behaviour has cost us?................" The boy replied to his parents, "don't worry, your #250,000 is here with me, I stole it from the drawer in the police station when I was being released"🤦🏿‍♂️🙆🏿‍♂️ Now the question is if you were the boy parents: 1) Will you return the boy to the police station? 2) Will you return the money to the police? 3) Will you punish the boy?

The lessons from this parable are; 1. Be Prepared at All Times Five wise virgins took extra oil, representing readiness. Five foolish virgins did not, symbolizing neglect. The wise could not share their oil with the foolish. Lesson: Each person is responsible for their own condition. No one can rely on another’s efforts to achieve their goals. 2. Appearance Is Not Enough All ten were virgins, all were invited, and all looked prepared at first. Only the ones with oil were truly ready. 3. There Will Be a Time When It’s Too Late The foolish virgins tried to prepare after the bridegroom arrived, but the door was shut. Lesson: There is a time limit to respond to any call. After which anyother time will be too late. 4. True Readiness Requires Action, Not Just Waiting The wise virgins actively brought extra oil. Lesson: Readiness requires continuous effort. Jesus ended the parable with the command: “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” Lesson: We must live daily with preparation and hard work in view, resisting complacency and slumber.

We’re forced to trim our depth, speed up our speech, mimic the trending tone, and collapse complex ideas into snackable, swipeable fluff just to be seen. It’s no longer “create from the heart.” It’s “create for the machine.” Creators with real originality—those who used to educate, inspire, disturb, enlighten—are now ghosting themselves just to survive the scroll. Because if we dare to slow down, teach deeper, or go against the algorithmic grain, we get buried. But here’s the deeper cost: We’re building entire followings off of dopamine, not depth. We’re gaining “likes” but losing legacy. And for those of us who started with truth in our bones, this slow dilution is a kind of spiritual erosion. From the parable of the 10 virgins, I’ve learned two important lessons: 1. To Always Be Prepared: The wise virgins came with extra oil because they didn’t want to be caught off guard. In real life, this means we should always plan ahead, whether it’s for opportunities, emergencies, or important moments. Being prepared saves us from regret. 2. To Take Responsibility for Your Own Life: The foolish virgins wanted to borrow oil, but some things in life just can’t be borrowed. This reminds us that certain efforts, like personal growth, discipline, and planning can’t borrowed neither can you borrow someone else’s hard work. Some things, we must learn to do it ourselves.
