  • In 1993, Émile Leray, a French electrician, broke down in the middle of the African desert while driving an old Citroën 2CV out of Morocco to join a military site.

His car was seriously damaged after hitting a rock. Unable to repair on site, and too risky to walk in this hostile environment. So he came up with this crazy but genius idea to turn his wrecked car into... On a motorcycle!

With the tools he had with him and recycling car parts, he built a functional motorcycle in 12 days, using the supplies (water and food) he had in the trunk.

Shortened the chassis, fitted two wheels, moved the engine to the center... and it worked!
Thus he managed to leave the desert and join civilization, but was welcomed... by a fine from the Moroccan police for driving a vehicle that did not match the official documents!

His improvised motorcycle still exists today, preserved as a symbol of ingenuity and adventure in the heart of the desert.

  • HUMAN "WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION"

**ANAMBRA COMMISSIONER SEEKS HELP TO MANAGE 18-YEAR-OLD APPRENTICE WHO IMPREGNATED 10 GIRLS INCLUDING MASTER'S
    DAUGHTER**

    May 7, 2025

The state’s Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, made the disclosure during a social media broadcast on Wednesday, expressing deep concern over what she described as an “overwhelming and disturbing case.”

**An 18-year-old apprentice in Anambra State has reportedly impregnated at least 10 girls within a span of five months, including his master’s daughter and a salesgirl.**

The state’s Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, made the disclosure during a social media broadcast on Wednesday, expressing deep concern over what she described as an “overwhelming and disturbing case.”

The teenage boy, whose identity remains undisclosed, was sent to learn a trade under a master.

However, within just three months, he allegedly got both his boss’s daughter and a salesgirl pregnant, leading to his immediate dismissal from the apprenticeship.

“This boy was sent to learn a trade at the age of 18 and three months of apprenticeship, and he impregnated his master’s daughter and his salesgirl. He was sent packing,” Obinabo said.

She further revealed that the situation deteriorated after the boy returned to his village, where he allegedly impregnated eight additional girls within two months.

“I want advice from the public because this one is beyond my capacity,” Obinabo stated. “Two months after that, he impregnated eight other girls in the village.”

The commissioner said the boy’s mother visited her office in desperation, seeking help as the situation had grown beyond the family's control.

“Anytime I see a girl coming towards our house nowadays, my heart would jump, please, I need help,” the mother was quoted as saying.

Obinabo, visibly disturbed by the unfolding drama, questioned whether the matter could have spiritual undertones.

“This matter is beyond me, the reason I want the public to help me come up with a solution. Is it spiritual?”

She recounted asking the boy how he managed to convince so many girls. “I asked the boy the magic he uses in luring the girls to bed, but he told me he always tells them that he loves them and would like to marry them any time he acquires wealth.”

“This problem is beyond me because of the boy’s age and the number of pregnant girls involved; that’s why I need help to solve it,” Obinabo added.

  • Putting Faith Into Practice

Faith is essentially trust, which is a pivotal part of following Jesus.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God..." And Ephesians 2:8 explains, “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”

So we shouldn’t put too much faith in our own faith, but put our faith in God. Only He can create, save, and sustain. We can't know all things, but we can know Him—who knows all things. Which is why we would be wise to put our trust in Him.

But putting our faith into practice isn’t always easy. The writer of Hebrews tells us that faith begins with having confidence in the things we hope for. More than that, it is having assurance for things we cannot see.

While this sounds like a contradiction, faith actually requires us to believe in something outside of ourselves. If we could see it and measure it, it wouldn’t require faith. For instance, we read in Scripture that God created the earth and everything in it. But we weren’t there when it happened. It requires faith to believe that.

Jesus says that those who believe in Him will inherit eternal life—but that’s a promise that has yet to come. We have to have faith that Jesus will keep His promise, and that one day we will be in heaven with Him.

Faith is the assurance that what God promised will happen. It is the confidence that what Jesus said is actually true. This is why people in Scripture faithfully waited for God to fulfill His promises toward them. Most of them might not have seen that fulfillment in their lifetime, but they had faith that God would still follow through.

Take some time to consider your own faith. Is your faith filled with confident hope? Pray for God to give you the assurance that all of His promises will come true. And as you do that, learn from the stories mentioned in Hebrews 11 on what it means to put faith into practice.

  • Sometimes I even wonder what was going on in the mind of Judas when he went out to betray Jesus. Even after receiving autorithy from Jesus to cast out demons, and he saw all he could do with the power Jesus gave them, yet he felt collecting 30pieces of silver was okay to sell out Jesus. This makes me understand why some people can be in church and yet be the worst evil you can't see out there on the life of those not saved yet.

  • "For there is hope for a tree: if it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its shoots will not cease. Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stump die in the soil, yet at the scent of water it will bud…" – Job 14:7-9

This image is a simple but profound illustration.

A mango tree, cut down—whether by nature or human hands—still bears fruit. Why? Because its roots are still in the ground.

In the same way, as long as you are breathing, there is hope. You can rise again. You can start over. You can still produce fruit.

Life may cut you down. Circumstances may try to silence your growth. But don’t forget this truth:
    You are not done yet.

Stay rooted. Stay hopeful. You will outgrow your situation.

    Happy Palm Sunday.
A day that reminds us of humble beginnings and triumphant endings.
