  • My Wife’s Salary Was a Mystery Until I discovered How Much She’s Truly Worth. In 2021 she told me her salary was 9500/- and then two years later, when she got promoted, I asked about her salary and she said, “Oh these people, don’t mind them. They added only 1500/- to my old salary" Because of her meager salary, I’ve taken up so many responsibilities in the house without complaint. I pay for utilities and pay for food. I pay the fees of our two kids, clothe them, and take care of their medical bills. When my wife sends me a grocery list, she adds sanitary pads. She buys dresses and clothes, comes to show them to me, and asks me to pay for them. She started talking about a car when our second child came in. Things weren’t good on my side so I asked her to give me some time. She said, “I’ve saved something. I can add it to what you have so you pay me when your money comes.”
    .
I agreed and took that money from her, topped it up to get her a car. For three months my ears never had rest. She would wake up at dawn and ask me to pay what I owed her. I got tired and paid the money when I didn’t have much in my account.
    .
One evening, I turned my laptop on and saw a lot of emails. I checked and it was my wife’s email that had been opened. I asked her, “Did you use my laptop?” She answered, “Yeah I was checking something.” I told her, “Then you didn’t log out.” She answered, “I forgot. Please log out for me.”
I was about to log out when something caught my attention. I saw a mail with the subject, “January Payslip.” I opened and started going through. When I saw her gross salary, I was shocked. 74,734/-.
And this girl has been crying poverty?
    .
I went through the details. That night I couldn’t sleep. I was angry. I felt let down. I felt cheated. I felt played. We’ve been married for six good years and my wife earned that much without my knowledge? How much she earned didn’t bother me a lot than what she was using that money for. I decided not to talk immediately but rather do a little bit of investigation.
    .
All my life I’ve held the view that it wasn’t right for anyone to go through their partner’s phone. It’s an invasion of privacy and it breeds mistrust in the relationship but that night, going through her phone was the only way to find out what I was looking for.
I started with her best friend. Nothing much was found. Her family had a Whatsapp group. I read the messages there. I got few hints. I went through the chat with her father and that was when I realized my wife had bought a piece of land and had started building. Her father was in charge of the project. He had sent photos of the various stages of the building. At some point, her father said, “Thank you for helping out your brother. He would have been home had it not been you.”
    .
She has only one brother, her senior brother. I went to look for the chat between them. Her senior brother lost his job and was home doing nothing so my wife bought him a car to use for Uber. Every week, her brother rendered an account and they split the money. From all indications, my wife was doing well for herself while she plays poor so she could rely on my salary. Why would she do that? I thought I was being a supportive husband so my wife could be proud of the man she married. When we bought land, it was her name and my name that appeared on the land title. That car I bought for her with a loan from her bears her name. I didn’t mind. I believed what’s hers was also mine.
    .
The next morning she realized I wasn’t looking well. I was boiling on the inside but looking for a good opportunity to start the conversation. When I calmed down a little, I asked her, “So why would you do that to me?”
She asked, “What have I done?”
I answered, “You bought land, you never told me. You started building on it, you never told me. When are you going to tell me?”
    She was shocked.
She asked, “Who told you all that?”
I said, “Your father did.” She stood quiet for a while.
She asked, “Why would my father tell you all that? What were you people talking about”
I said, “I don’t know. You can ask him.”
    .
We left it there. Some minutes later she came to me with her phone: “My father wants to talk to you.” The phone was already on a loudspeaker. His father was clearly angry.
He asked, almost shouting, “You said I told you my daughter has a building, Where did I say that and when?”
I asked, “Is it not true that my wife has a building project going on that you’re supervising?”
He asked me, “I told you that?”
I asked, “Is it true or not?” After the back and forth I told them, “I read your messages last night. I saw the pictures. I read the various budget you had sent to my wife. I read the confirmation of the money receipts that you sent her. You’re a man. Would you be happy if your wife does this to you?”
He started fumbling. He started apologizing saying he thought I was aware....
    .
My wife stood there motionless, didn’t know what to say. When her father hung up, I told her everything I knew, from her salary to the car she bought for her brother. I said, “Yet, even your sanitary pad, I buy them. You think I’m a fool? You’ll use your money to acquire your own properties and live on mine because you’re my wife? I hear. We’ll see.”
    .
Trust was lost. Love was broken. We had to find a new way of living our lives going forward. Her father called me every morning and evening apologizing for everything and sometimes taking up the blame so I didn’t have to blame his daughter.
I told him, “The emotional state I’m in right now, it would be hard to think straight or think forgiveness. Just give me space.”
Three days later, they were in our house. The father, the mother, and the senior brother. They came to apologize.
“Don’t let this break up the beautiful marriage you both have. If nothing at all, consider the kids and be lenient in your judgment.”
    .
I listened to them. My position was still the same. “I need time to clear my mind. Just leave me alone to think.”
From last month to this moment that I’m writing this, my wife had changed totally. She doesn’t ask for money but the house is being run smoothly. She has started paying for things she never paid for but that doesn’t move me. She has taught me a very great lesson and I’m taking it seriously. That in everything, I have to look out for myself and my family first.
Last she told me, “If you want us to change the names on those properties, we can do so.”
Guess whose name is on the property…her father’s name.”
    .
I told her, “You don’t need to change anything. They are yours. You suffered for them so you can decide what you want to do with them.”
The land I bought has our names. I’m selling it and take my money back. The car she’s driving has her name. I put a for-sale sticker on it some weeks ago. She agreed she’ll pay for the car. I’ve given her two months to pay up or I sell it and take my money. She’s getting the message and I’m glad. Each one for himself, God for us all. She keeps asking if I’m going to leave her. I keep telling her I won’t but if she wants a divorce, I will gladly give her. I’m not going to leave the marriage. I would give us some time to heal and see what may happen but when it comes to money, I’ve taken the lesson she taught me through her actions...

  • How has the mighty fallen, there was a huge silence in the street of Madrid, but shouts of irrepresible joy in England as a whole last night. It made me begin to wonder, has football changed or is it just that the bunch of Madrid players where docile, I started wondering how the former wonder kid Jude Bellingham suddenly grew so cold that not even a shot on goal from him or is it that the team was built around a failed striker called Mpape. Will I say that the decline of Madrid started when Mpape joined that former wonder club. It makes begin to wonder why Fifa will over the years hyped a player like Mpape and rated him better than the Nigerian Wonder boy Victor Osimhen. Sometimes I wonder why Nigerian Wonder boys continue to suffer huge attacks anytime they start shining. Is it a ploy to dampen their relentless spirit or what. Anyway, kudos to Arsenal, they played to their game plan without distraction and it worked for them. #Team E.

To change a dirty baby (diaper) means that you need to take good care of your children. Are you feeling that you are child or baby is dirty? • I Was a Bad Girl for Three Years Until...

Florence Adeyemo — the Mary Magdalene of Jesuit High School.

The kind of girl everyone admired. The girl her family and classmates fondly called Pastor Mrs. Flo. She was the white sheep of the senior block — gentle, elegant, holy, and brilliant. What better combination could anyone ask for?

Flo did everything right. Not because she was a “Miss Perfect,” but because she genuinely lived a righteous life. She wasn’t trying to impress anyone. She simply loved God — and it showed.

    But then, something happened.

Three weeks after the senior secondary school holiday, Flo started hanging out with Natasha — the class wolf. Natasha, the daughter of a senator, was wild and rebellious. Lazy in school, loud at parties. She lived for the nightlife and didn’t care what anyone thought.

Flo told herself she was only trying to win Natasha over to Christ. After all, Jesus was always found among sinners, right?

Her intentions were pure. Her boundaries were not.

Slowly, Florence changed. The girl who used to whisper words of prayer began to speak words soaked in profanity. Her gracious, calm spirit gave way to a sharp, restless energy. She became defiant. Disrespectful. Rebellious.

Overnight, Flo became a different person. A bad girl.

    Her fall was loud.

It took serious intercession, divine mercy, and tough love to pull her back from the edge. The process wasn’t easy. But it worked. She learned her lesson — the hard way.

No matter how pure your intentions are, the company you keep will shape your character. Set boundaries, or you may become what you were trying to change.

  • OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL

    DATE: Tuesday MAY 6TH 2025

    THEME: LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION III

MEMORIZE: The counsel of f the LORD Standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Psalm 33:11

    READ: Genesis 50:16-20
16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying,

17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

18 And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.

19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?

20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

    MESSAGE

As I conclude the teaching I started two days ago, I want you to take special note of today’s memory verse. It tells us that God’s counsel will stand forever. This implies that no matter what anyone tries, God’s plan for your life can never be changed. Isaiah 46:10 says, “…My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”

When things that do not seem to align with God’s plan for your life start happening to you, don’t despair; trust God and be confident that He is able to make all things work together for your good. For example, in the Bible, God showed Joseph a glimpse of His plan for his life in two dreams (Genesis 37:5-9). However, instead of keeping his mouth shut, he announced the dreams to his brothers and parents. His brothers got angry and sold him into slavery. They thought they were destroying him, but little did they know that they were helping Him towards his destiny.
After he was brought into Potiphar’s house, tragedy struck again, and he found himself in prison. I’m sure the devil must have mocked him and asked, “Now, what has become of your big dreams?” However, God never fails to bring His word to pass; He hastens His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). The bigger the challenges, the more He will showcase His mighty power.

God had a great destiny prepared for David, but the moment the oil came upon his head and he was anointed as king, it seemed all hell was let loose upon him. He became a fugitive for 13 years, moving from one hideout to another. In his psalms, he recorded how he felt during that season (Psalm 88:15, Psalm 25:16).
However, despite all he faced, he still became Israel’s king as God ordained. I am sure that was why he said, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19).

Beloved, no matter how much the enemy tries to stop you from achieving that glorious destiny that God has prepared for you, I want you to know that all things will work together for your good when you love God, and you are aligned with His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Loving God means that you must obey all His commands (John 14:15). Don’t lose hope when negative circumstances come your way. Trust in God, obey all His commandments, and He will surely bring you to a glorious end in Him.

    KEY POINT

No matter the difficulties you may be facing in your life, God is able to make all things work together for your good.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Chronicles 24-26

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE

HYMN 30: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
    he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.

    Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,
    not a sorrow we share,
    but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey.

3 But we never can prove
    the delights of his love
    until all on the altar we lay;
    for the favor he shows,
    for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey.

    4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
    or we'll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
    where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey.

OPEN HEAVEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: Tuesday MAY 6TH 2025 THEME: LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION III MEMORIZE: The counsel of f the LORD Standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Psalm 33:11 READ: Genesis 50:16-20 16 And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying, 17 So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. MESSAGE As I conclude the teaching I started two days ago, I want you to take special note of today’s memory verse. It tells us that God’s counsel will stand forever. This implies that no matter what anyone tries, God’s plan for your life can never be changed. Isaiah 46:10 says, “…My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” When things that do not seem to align with God’s plan for your life start happening to you, don’t despair; trust God and be confident that He is able to make all things work together for your good. KEY POINT No matter the difficulties you may be facing in your life, God is able to make all things work together for your good. BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Chronicles 24-26 AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE HYMN 30: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD 1 When we walk with the Lord in the light of his word, what a glory he sheds on our way! While we do his good will, he abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey. Refrain: Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. 2 Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, but our toil he doth richly repay; not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, but is blest if we trust and obey. 3 But we never can prove the delights of his love until all on the altar we lay; for the favor he shows, for the joy he bestows, are for them who will trust and obey. 4 Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at his feet, or we'll walk by his side in the way; what he says we will do, where he sends we will go; never fear, only trust and obey. #olufaderomi #grace

  • She was just a cleaner trying to get to work. One splash of mud changed all her life! The rich woman behind the wheel had no idea – someone powerful was watching...
The city woke in silence, cloaked in early mist and leftover rain. Streetlights blinked against the morning haze, and the air still carried the chill of night. Along Crownville Avenue, a young woman moved with quiet purpose. She wasn’t in a rush, but her pace was steady—like someone used to walking the long road.
Her uniform was clean, her shoes worn from use. A small bag hung from her shoulder, packed with her breakfast and cleaning gloves. No makeup, no umbrella, no shield from what life might bring that day.
At the next corner, a sleek white SUV waited for the light. Its engine hummed with soft power. Inside sat a well-dressed woman in large sunglasses, sipping something green from a straw and scrolling her phone.
    And then—
    A splash.
A sharp burst of water from a puddle.
And the young woman stopped, soaked from head to toe.
There was no time to react.
The SUV rolled past, slowing just enough for a voice to call out from the window—cheerful, distant, maybe even amused. Then it sped off, disappearing into the traffic like nothing had happened.
She stood still for a moment. No screams. No anger. She just adjusted her bag, blinked a few times, and kept walking.
    But someone else saw.
From across the street, a dark sedan sat quietly. Behind its tinted windows, a man watched the entire moment unfold. His eyes followed the woman, then shifted to the SUV fading into the distance.
    He didn’t smile.
    He didn’t speak.
But his fingers tapped the steering wheel once—then again.
    He picked up his phone.
“Can you find out who she is?” he asked, voice calm but firm. “The girl who just got splashed.”
    A short pause.
    “Yes, sir,” came the reply.
    The line clicked off.
The young woman never looked back. She didn’t know anyone had noticed. She didn’t know her morning had been quietly recorded in someone else’s mind—and that her quiet resilience had just shifted something unexpected.
Because sometimes, the smallest moments leave the biggest impressions.
And not all acts of kindness are random.
Sometimes, someone sees more than we think.
And sometimes, it all begins with a splash.....

  • What will humans be doing in 10 years?

    1. In a decade most people will not be driving. What will we do instead?

    2. In a decade most people will have robots in their businesses and probably their homes.

    3. In a decade we won't be looking at 2D monitors much anymore.

    4. In a decade we will be using a ton of brain/computer interfaces to work and play.

    5. In a decade AI will be making us all more productive, and, even, happier. It will be reporting our news. It will be running our businesses. It will be helping us with our health. It will be helping us build. It will help us design new things, new products, new ideas, new lifestyles, new experiences.

    6. In a decade we will still be needed to work, but on new things that are hard to imagine today.

    7. In a decade we will have dozens of virtual beings in our lives. And your AI will bring new ones into your life depending on your goals. Want to learn Spanish? A new group will show up that are different than the group that will show up if you want to learn Chemistry.

    8. In a decade new brain/computer interfaces will be here, and will merge humans with AIs in many ways.

    9. In a decade our corporate structures will change to be a hybrid of humans and AIs working together.

    10. In a decade a robot will attend our city council meetings and report to us about what's going on inside.

    11. In a decade we won't use applications, like we do today on our iPhones. We will have a singular user interface. On Star Trek you just said "computer do this" and it did. Star Trek will be real in a decade.

    12. In a decade we will have armies of robots and drones moving around our cities doing everything from deliveries to giving tours to tourists.

    13. In a decade we still will have artists and storytellers, but they will be assisted by AIs to help make that art, and tell that story. AI's will gather other AIs who will warn the humans that someone is telling an interesting story.

    14. In a decade AIs will still be asking humans for assistance. "Hey human can you get a better view of the house that's on fire across the street?"

    15. In a decade AIs are assisting humans in coming up with new medical and material breakthroughs. Even designing new computing architectures, whether Quantum, or silicon, or biological, or a hybrid of all three or even something even newer.
